Our Founder
Climate Ground Zero was founded by Dr. Madeline Kelley, a PhD graduate with over 25 years of experience in healthcare and emergency-related fields. Dr. Kelley has dedicated her career to protecting and serving vulnerable communities.
She is a 12-time international award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter. She is also an adjunct ethics professor, a published author, and the recipient of a highly competitive national award. Her documentary work has reached audiences on major streaming platforms. Dr. Kelley built Climate Ground Zero to close a critical gap: giving everyday people the same disaster readiness tools once reserved for large institutions.
Who We Are
Climate Ground Zero is a program created by Angels Haven Charity Corp, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Founded in 2017 and based in North Las Vegas, Nevada, we combine emergency preparedness expertise with cutting-edge AI and immersive VR technology. This makes disaster readiness accessible to all.
Our platform provides FEMA-aligned preparedness training for all ten major hazards. It also offers real-time emergency alerts powered by the National Weather Service, USGS, and NASA. We provide national coverage across all 3,142 U.S. counties.
Our Vision
We believe no one should face a disaster unprepared. As climate threats grow, Climate Ground Zero is building a future where every family, community, and organization has the knowledge, training, and technology to stay safe, before, during, and after disaster strikes.
